To join our team for an immediate start, we are looking for a talented and dedicated Librarian. The Librarian will be responsible for managing the school library, creating an engaging and welcoming environment for learning and research. They will play a key role in supporting the school community by promoting a love for reading and developing research and critical thinking skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Library Management

Ensure the library is a safe, quiet, and welcoming space.

Oversee daily operations: cataloguing, shelving, and organising materials.

Maintain an up-to-date collection of books, digital resources, and multimedia.
Collection Development

Curate a diverse, relevant collection within budget.

Integrate new educational trends and technologies.
Reader Services
-
Lead whole-school reading initiatives (e.g. World Book Day).

Promote reading through clubs, challenges, and author visits.
Collaboration & Outreach
-
Work with teachers to align library use with curriculum goals.

Contribute to school events and parent-teacher meetings.

Engage parents in supporting library activities.
