ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Peter's International School is seeking an inspiring and highly qualified IB Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary faculty. We are looking for an educator who doesn't just teach formulas, but fosters deep analytical thinking and a genuine passion for problem-solving within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach IB DP Mathematics (including Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation) at both SL and HL levels.
- Instructional Excellence: Design and deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that challenge students and support them in achieving top examination results.
- Assessment & Feedback: Manage the Internal Assessment (IA) process, providing rigorous guidance and feedback in line with IB standards.
- Pastoral Care: Actively contribute to the pastoral life of the school, supporting student wellbeing and global citizenship.
- Co-curricular Contribution: Engage in the wider school community through clubs, enrichment programs, or the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) framework.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Academic Background: A University Degree in Mathematics or a closely related STEM field.
- Professional Qualification: Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
- Digital Fluency: Highly confident in using ICT and educational technology to enhance learning (e.g., Graphic Display Calculators, Google Classroom).
- Mindset: A "continuous improvement" mindset, adaptable teaching style, and a collaborative spirit.
