KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified IB Chemistry Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. In this role, you will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of chemical concepts and foster a passion for scientific inquiry. 

 

  • Deliver engaging Chemistry instruction aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and IB Chemistry. 
  • Inspire curiosity and passion for Chemistry by connecting complex concepts to real-world applications. 
  • Foster a growth mindset in students, encouraging critical thinking and scientific inquiry. 
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, adapting teaching based on assessments. 
  • Create an interactive environment that promotes experimentation, inquiry, and collaborative problem-solving. 
  • Develop practical skills through laboratory experiments and hands-on activities. 
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including simulations and technology, to enhance understanding and engagement. 
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes. 
  • Prioritise student well-being by creating a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages participation. 
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated with scientific and educational advancements. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A relevant degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with international teaching experience preferred. 
  • A valid teaching qualification and proven experience teaching IB Chemistry at the secondary level. 
  • A deep passion for science, with a commitment to fostering critical thinking and curiosity in students. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students and colleagues. 
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to teaching. 
  • A commitment to student welfare and safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. 
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to embrace and implement innovative teaching methods.
