To join our team in January 2025, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Head of Mathematics and Mathematics Teacher, to teach Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics, IGCSE Mathematics and IB DP Mathematics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

In addition to the responsibilities of a teacher, the Head of Mathematics will be responsible for:

 

  • Promoting Mathematics by engaging students and staff in initiatives that highlight its importance and relevance.
  • Overseeing a smooth curriculum transition from Cambridge Primary to Lower Secondary, ensuring consistency in mathematics teaching methods.
  • Facilitating opportunities for teachers to share best practices and collaborate to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Leading department meetings with a focus on enhancing student achievement in mathematics.
  • Developing a progressive and challenging mathematics curriculum with clear and effective transition points.
  • Implementing high-quality assessment and feedback strategies to drive improvements in teaching and learning.
  • Analysing data and assessment information to inform teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes for all students.
  • Participating in school development by influencing and enhancing teaching and learning policies and practices.
  • Supporting teachers in providing timely, clear, and effective reports on student progress to parents.
  • Monitoring student achievement and implementing targeted interventions to raise achievement levels across all abilities.
