St. Peter’s International School is an international school located in Palmela, just south of Lisbon. At St. Peter's International School, we believe in the limitless potential of every student.  In our supportive community, we develop students who strive for excellence and are prepared to be responsible global citizens with a passion for lifelong learning.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive education that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an interconnected world. Rooted in the principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, our approach integrates rigorous academics with inquiry-based learning, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and cultural understanding.

The international section of school which offers the Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary and IGCSE Programmes as well as the IB Diploma Programme is experiencing remarkable growth, with the number of students set to rise to the 300 mark. This expansion speaks volumes about the quality of education and the vibrant learning environment we offer at St. Peter's International School.
With this in mind, we are now looking to recruit a Head of International / IB Coordinator.

Candidates must hold an advanced degree in education and be able to demonstrate significant leadership experience in an International school environment, ideally with direct experience of both Cambridge and International Baccalaureate Programmes. Priority will be given to those applicants in possession of an EU Passport or working rights to Portugal already in place. The role provides a competitive salary, relocation assistance and assisted school places for dependent children where applicable.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we are designing our growth roadmap and new staff will be able to actively participate in this project. While this is an organisation committed to academic excellence, we believe that this is only possible if we are also committed to the personal and professional growth of our staff.

All staff at St. Peter’s are actively involved in the pastoral life of the school. The role will also offer the opportunity for contribution to co-curricular clubs and enrichment.
