As the Extracurricular Activities Officer, you will report to and work with the Head of Extracurricular activities who is an academic leader part of the Leadership Team of the school and plays a pivotal role in shaping the student experience at St. Peter's. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and promoting a dynamic program that caters to a wide range of interests and abilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Development & Management:
    • Curate a diverse selection of extracurricular activities aligned with Inspired standards, including sports, outdoor pursuits (Duke of Edinburgh's Award, World Challenge), music programs, eco-initiatives, and mental health & wellbeing initiatives (partnering with internal and external providers).
    • Plan and schedule activities throughout the year, ensuring a balanced and engaging offering for all students.
    • Oversee the enrollment and attendance, and report on key metrics.
    • Oversee the quality and effectiveness of extracurricular programs, conducting regular audits and implementing improvements.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Collaborate with staff and students to identify new activity ideas and interests.
    • Recruit and manage qualified instructors for extracurricular programs.
    • Work closely with the summer camps team to provide exceptional summer experiences for students.
    • Foster a positive and engaging environment for all participants.
    • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on events like International Day and graduation ceremonies.
  • Communication & Marketing
    • Effectively communicate with students, parents, staff, and external partners about the extracurricular program.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote activities and encourage participation, aligned with Inspired guidelines.
    • Maintain clear and up-to-date information resources for the program.
  • Logistics & Administration
    • Develop and manage the annual extracurricular budget.
    • Oversee risk assessments and safety protocols for all activities.
    • Manage travel logistics and costs for extracurricular trips, collaborating with the finance team.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all aspects of the program.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Passionate about creating engaging and enriching learning experiences for students.
  • Proven experience in program development, management, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and budgeting skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, and confident with the use of ICT tools.
