St. Peter's International School is a prestigious, top-ranked premium institution located in Palmela, Lisbon area, with over 30 years of academic excellence. As part of the Inspired Education network, we provide a world-class bilingual and international education for students from 4 months to 18 years old.

We are looking for an inspiring Team Leader to drive pedagogical quality and lead our dedicated educators.

 

Job Purpose

 

Drive pedagogical excellence and foster a thriving early learning community. You will be the vital link between school coordination, families, and our educational team, ensuring a collaborative environment where children and staff excel according to St. Peter’s high standards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Team Guidance: Lead, onboard, and support teachers and assistants in daily operations and professional growth.
  • Work Culture: Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and respectful environment across all teams.
  • Pedagogical Support: Implement the educational project, child-centred practices, and documentation standards.
  • Classroom Consistency: Ensure high-quality educational practices and alignment across all classrooms.
  • School Events: Coordinate early learning projects, events, and institutional initiatives.
  • Daily Operations: Manage routines, schedules, and resources efficiently alongside School Coordination.
  • Proactive Management: Anticipate operational needs and resolve daily challenges constructively.
  • Liaison & Communication: Act as the main link between staff and Coordination, ensuring clear information flow.
  • Family Partnerships: Build trust-based relationships with families and support meetings or events.
  • Culture & Quality: Model St. Peter’s values while identifying continuous improvement areas.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Background: Proven experience in Early Childhood Education settings, with a strong understanding of early years pedagogy and documentation.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Natural ability to inspire teams, foster a collaborative work environment, and guide teachers and assistants in their daily growth.
  • Bilingual Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with professional fluency in both Portuguese and English, essential for a multicultural school environment.
  • Problem Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to resolve daily operational and team challenges constructively.
  • Organization: Highly organized and reliable, with the capacity to balance pedagogical guidance with daily routines.
