KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a warm, structured, and caring environment for boarders.

  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Help guide and support students through day-to-day life away from home.

  • Model the values of respect, kindness, resilience and responsibility.

  • Monitor and support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.

  • Oversee evening routines, meal times, and weekend activities.

  • Respond appropriately to any pastoral, medical, or behavioural concerns.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience working with young people in a pastoral, educational, or residential setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable, and empathetic manner.

  • A high level of responsibility, reliability, and integrity.

  • A flexible and proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

  • EU citizenship or the right to work in Portugal is desirable.
