ROLE SUMMARY:

The Communications & Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading all school-level communications, strengthening engagement with current families while supporting the school's marketing activities to prospective families. Working closely with the Head of School and the Regional Brand Manager, the role ensures that the school's communications, storytelling and local marketing initiatives are delivered consistently, professionally and in line with the wider brand strategy. The role acts as the bridge between the school and the Regional Marketing Team, coordinating local activity while ensuring global campaigns and brand standards are effectively implemented within the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing
- Collaborate with the Regional Marketing Team in implementing the school's annual marketing strategy.
- Adapt global marketing campaigns to the local market, language and school context.
- Coordinate the local execution of marketing initiatives and institutional events, under a unified cross-departmental calendar, while ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
- Support the ongoing development of the school's website by identifying updates and coordinating local content.
Content Creation
- Capture high-quality photo and video content from everyday school life, academic activities, sporting events, performances and special occasions.
- Maintain a forward-looking calendar of school events, initiatives and content opportunities to support the Regional Marketing Team's planning.
- Work with the Regional Marketing Team to curate, develop and publish content across the school's communication channels.
- Ensure a continuous flow of authentic content that reflects the life and culture of the school.
Public Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Draft and coordinate press releases highlighting school achievements, student success stories, partnerships and major announcements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the school's visibility and reputation.
Events
- Plan, organise and deliver selected school events from concept to execution.
- Support the Marketing and Admissions teams in coordinating larger regional or group events hosted by the school.
- Capture content during events to maximise post-event communications and marketing opportunities.
- Be available to support occasional evening and weekend events when required.
Marketing Operations
- Coordinate the production of printed and promotional materials in collaboration with Printing department or through local suppliers.
- Translate the Regional Marketing Team's requirements into clear production briefs.
- Coordinate timelines, suppliers and deliveries while ensuring quality and brand consistency.
- Support the organisation of professional photography and videography sessions.
Communications
- Lead all day-to-day communications with current families, ensuring communications are timely, engaging, accurate and aligned with the school's values.
- Draft, edit and distribute school communications, including newsletters, announcements, emails and other parent-facing content.
- Translate and localise communications developed by the Regional Marketing Team when required.
- Ensure consistency of tone of voice and messaging across all school communications.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Events management.
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing professional social media accounts.
- Experience writing professional communications for different audiences.
- Experience organising events and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with external suppliers.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Experience within education or another service-focused environment is desired.

- Native Greek speaker.
- Professional written and spoken English.
- Outstanding written communication and copywriting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable working across multiple teams.
- Professional photography or videography experience is NOT required. The successful candidate should be confident capturing high-quality, authentic content using a smartphone or camera and willing to learn best practices provided by the Regional Marketing Team. The focus is on consistently documenting school life rather than producing professionally edited creative assets.
