ROLE SUMMARY:
St George’s International School is currently seeking a new PE Teacher to complete the 2026 academic year.
You would be joining a multicultural, international environment with students from diverse backgrounds and a highly collaborative staff community. This will be a fixed-term contract at 100%.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach PE in Middle School (Y6–9) and Senior School (Y10–13) within Cambridge, IGCSE and IB programmes.

Coach a range of school sports.

Support Junior School sports provision (Y3–5).

Manage one of the school’s sports academies.

Ensure good planning, supervision and discipline.

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons.

Develop students’ core skills and make interdisciplinary links.

Show strong drive, energy and teamwork.

Maintain high expectations for self and students.

Follow departmental assessment policies.

Write academic reports.
-
Attend parent–teacher/tutor conferences.

Attend scheduled school meetings.

Cover lessons when needed.
-
Provide extra-curricular coaching.

Tutor a group of around 10 students (Y7–13).

Act as a role model and ambassador for the school.

Build positive relationships with colleagues and parents.

Demonstrate international-mindedness and support a multilingual environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience of teaching IGCSE PE and IBDP Sport, Exercise and Health Science
- Experience in coaching school sport
- the ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 3 years experience with students in a secondary school
- Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
- University degree in PE and/or in a related subject
- Certified Teaching Status
