ROLE SUMMARY:
Wetherby Pembridge is the latest demonstration of Inspired's commitment to providing the highest academic excellence, curriculum rigour, extensive premium co-curricular facilities, and the very best support in accessing the top universities in the world.
This exceptional co-educational senior school opened in Olympia, London in September 2025, providing students with access to Inspired’s global best practices in teaching and learning, as well as global exchange and summer camp programmes, providing students with even more opportunities to transform and broaden their horizons. Opening initially with students in Years 7, 8 and 9, the school will expand over the next few years to educate students in Years 7-13.
The school builds on the academic success and heritage of our Wetherby and Pembridge Hall Pre-Prep and Prep Schools. Wetherby Pembridge provides a premium, academic senior school pathway for students who are looking for an academically excellent, London co-educational senior school.
The school features state-of-the-art learning environments with future-ready specialist teaching spaces, including a full floor of science labs, a library with a seven-floor glass atrium, professional-standard theatre facilities, a vibrant Creative and Performing Arts programme and outstanding provision for sport both onsite and nearby.
The Role:
We are delighted to welcome applications from outstanding, dynamic and suitably experienced individuals for the role of Teacher of Humanities, to be in post for September 2026. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate to leverage their experience as a Geography or History specialist in a high-performing school environment to contribute to the ongoing development of world-class Humanities provision at Wetherby Pembridge. Working closely with the Founding Leadership Team and Head of Humanities, the successful candidate will have a major role in helping to develop an innovative, ambitious and comprehensive Humanities programme for this exciting next chapter in the Wetherby Pembridge journey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching a full timetable allocation, covering a generalist Humanities curriculum in Years 7-8 and either Geography or History from Year 9 upwards, depending on the specialism of the successful candidate
- There is potential for additional timetable allocation of lessons in Religious Studies for suitably qualified candidates
- Planning, preparing and delivering excellent lessons, including working with the SENDCo to ensure that Humanities teaching at Wetherby Pembridge makes appropriate provision for candidates with additional needs
- Promoting the study of Humanities throughout the school
- Attending and contributing to regular departmental meetings
- Contributing to and, where appropriate, leading super-curricular provision within the Humanities, and helping to foster a culture in which broad and regular super-curricular engagement is a routine aspect of student life
- Taking part in lesson observations and work scrutinies
- Liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and others as appropriate to help develop and support Community Partnership opportunities
- For the right candidate, opportunities may exist for additional responsibilities, e.g. coaching Games, contributing to pastoral oversight, teaching Religious Studies etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent with strong academic credentials, including a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, and the right to work in the UK
- Significant experience of delivering outstanding Geography or History provision in a high-performing school environment
- The ability to teach Geography or History to A Level
- The ability to teach Religious Studies
- The resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment
