This exceptional co-educational senior school opened in Olympia, London in September 2025, providing students with access to Inspired’s global best practices in teaching and learning, as well as global exchange and summer camp programmes, providing students with even more opportunities to transform and broaden their horizons. Opening initially with students in Years 7, 8 and 9, the school will expand over the next few years to educate students in Years 7-13.
 
The school builds on the academic success and heritage of our Wetherby and Pembridge Hall Pre-Prep and Prep Schools. Wetherby Pembridge provides a premium, academic senior school pathway for students who are looking for an academically excellent, London co-educational senior school.

Role details:

 

We are delighted to welcome applications from outstanding, dynamic and suitably experienced individuals for the role of Part-Time Teacher of Art, to start in September 2026. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate to leverage their experience as an Art specialist in a high-performing school environment to build on the strong foundations already laid for Art provision at Wetherby Pembridge, as they help guide the School’s first GCSE cohort through this important stage in their school careers. Working closely with the Head of Creative Arts, the successful candidate will have an exciting role in helping further to develop and embed an innovative, ambitious and comprehensive Art programme for this exciting new chapter in the Wetherby Pembridge journey. 

 

This is a part-time position requiring one day of work per week, alternating between 2 hours one week and 3 hours the following week.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Initially, teaching one class of GCSE Art, equating to 5 hours per 2-week timetable cycle. There is potential for the role to increase over time, as the School grows

· For interested the candidates, there is the possibility of taking on additional hours of technical support of the wider Creative Arts Department

· Working closely with the Head of Creative Arts, helping to develop and implement a world-class Art curriculum

· Planning, preparing and delivering excellent lessons, including working with the Deputy Head (Academic) and the SENDCo to ensure that Art teaching at Wetherby Pembridge makes appropriate provision for candidates with additional needs

· Promoting the study of Art throughout the school

· Attending and contributing to regular departmental meetings

· Contributing to super-curricular provision within Art, and helping to foster a culture in which broad and regular super-curricular engagement is a routine aspect of student life

· Taking part in lesson observations and work scrutinies

· Having an open and proactive attitude to continuing professional development

· As required, setting and marking internal examinations

· Cooperating with all colleagues to ensure that Wetherby Pembridge remains a tidy, organised and inspiring learning environment

· Liaising with the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership Team as appropriate to help develop and support Community Partnership opportunities

· For the right candidate, opportunities may exist for additional responsibilities, e.g. coaching Games, contributing to pastoral oversight, etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

· PGCE, QTS or equivalent with strong academic credentials, including a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, and the right to work in the UK

· Significant experience of delivering outstanding Art provision in a high-performing school environment

· The ability to teach Art to A Level

· The resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment
