ROLE SUMMARY:

Reddam House North Shore are seeking experienced and qualified casual teachers to join our dynamic team. The roles will be day cover as well as extended cover for teachers on annual leave.  This role involves teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 6 across a range of subjects, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across primary and/or secondary subjects.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in their academic progress and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with staff and follow curriculum guidelines.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience in teaching at the primary school level, K-6, and also specialist subjects including Mathematics and Computers would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of subjects effectively and engage students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to monitor and report on student progress accurately.
  • Experience in organising and supervising school activities and events.
  • Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent.
  • Accreditation with NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority).


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
  • Willingness to participate in school events and activities outside of regular school hours as required.
