ROLE SUMMARY:
Reddam House North Shore is seeking an outstanding Deputy Principal of Primary School (Years K-6) to start in the 2025 academic year.
As the newest member of our co-educational, non-denominational, independent school network, Reddam House North Shore continues the tradition of inspiring students to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. Our unique philosophy balances academic rigour with cultural and sporting endeavours. Our state-of-the-art, 'urban vertical school' stands proudly on a prestigious 8-storey property. Here, Reddam House's legacy of academic prowess merges with the global best practices of the Inspired Education Group, within the heritage architecture of Harry Seidler. This combination is set to create the foundations for excellence, right in the heart of North Sydney.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Principal to turn the Reddam House vision and philosophy into actionable managerial objectives through effective people leadership and sound operational practices.
- Provide high quality educational and executive leadership to the Primary School and its community.
- Inspire and motivate teaching staff and the leadership team to maximise the educational, social development and care of students, unlocking each student's true potential.
- Ensure students are well-prepared to excel academically and in co-curricular activities, including sports and the performing and creative arts.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture among teachers and administrators through disciplined recruitment, coaching and development opportunities.
- Efficiently manage the school's resources to ensure financial viability and sustainability.
- Engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam House’s educational philosophy.
- Foster team building among staff, encouraging active participation in decision-making.
- Identify and implement strategies that differentiate Reddam House from its competitors and leverage key differentiators to enhance student enrolment.
- Represent and promote Reddam House to all stakeholders and the wider community.
- Deputise for the Principal as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A teaching degree (or higher) with 10+ years of experience in a school senior leadership or executive position.
- A passion for education and a commitment to representing and strongly advocating for Reddam House.
- An impressive communicator with strong leadership and motivational ability.
- Advanced management skills, with business acumen and an understanding of the need for the school to succeed in a commercial context.
- A valid Working With Children check and a commitment to child welfare.
- A commitment to the overall development of young people.
- The right to work in Australia.
