ROLE SUMMARY:

As the newest member of our co-educational, non-denominational, independent school network, Reddam House North Shore continues the tradition of inspiring students to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to oversee all cash inflows for our institution. In this vital role, you will manage the invoicing process for school fees and miscellaneous charges, handle payment collections, and oversee cash allocations and credit risk. You will also prepare detailed aging reports and analyses for the Finance Director to facilitate timely actions that mitigate aging accounts and minimize bad debt collection. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cash Management: Oversee all cash inflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Invoicing: Manage the invoicing process for school fees and miscellaneous charges.
  • Collections: Handle payment collections and cash allocations.
  • Credit Risk Management: Assess and manage overall credit risk associated with accounts.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed aging reports and analyses to the Finance Director for timely decision-making.
  • Bad Debt Prevention: Implement strategies to avoid aging accounts and minimize bad debt collection.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience: Over 3 years in finance or accounting, preferably in a school or service industry setting.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, with proven ability to analyze and manage data effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in dealing with premium customers.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar financial software is preferred.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
  • Organisation: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
