ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College Murcia is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our vibrant Primary team from late August 2026. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an energetic and creative educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning within a caring British international school environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the full Year 4 curriculum in line with the English National Curriculum.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports academic progress and personal growth.

  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.

  • Foster strong relationships and positive behaviour, promoting respect, cooperation, and a growth mindset.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan units of work, share best practice, and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, ensuring they are well informed and involved in their child’s development.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and wider community engagement.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

  • Experience teaching within the primary phase, ideally with Year 4 or Key Stage 2 classes.

  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and effective pedagogy for KS2 learners.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils.

  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

  • A creative, reflective, and student-centred approach to teaching and learning.

  • A commitment to contributing positively to the wider school community.
