ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College School, Murcia is seeking an outstanding and forward-thinking Head of Computing to lead and develop the Computing provision across the Secondary School. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner and emerging leader to shape a high-quality curriculum within a high-performing British international school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Lead and develop the Computing curriculum across KS3–KS5

  • Ensure excellent teaching, learning and assessment within the department

  • Prepare pupils for external examinations (IGCSE / A Level or equivalent)

  • Line-manage and support Computing staff, promoting high standards and professional growth

  • Drive innovation in digital learning, including coding and computational thinking

  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment activities

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related subject, with QTS or equivalent

  • Proven experience teaching Computing at Secondary level (KS3–KS5)

  • Evidence of curriculum leadership or readiness for middle leadership

  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice

  • Commitment to pastoral care, collaboration and continuous professional development
