ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Murcia is seeking an outstanding and forward-thinking Head of Computing to lead and develop the Computing provision across the Secondary School. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner and emerging leader to shape a high-quality curriculum within a high-performing British international school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and develop the Computing curriculum across KS3–KS5
Ensure excellent teaching, learning and assessment within the department
Prepare pupils for external examinations (IGCSE / A Level or equivalent)
Line-manage and support Computing staff, promoting high standards and professional growth
Drive innovation in digital learning, including coding and computational thinking
Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment activities

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Degree in Computer Science or a related subject, with QTS or equivalent
Proven experience teaching Computing at Secondary level (KS3–KS5)
Evidence of curriculum leadership or readiness for middle leadership
Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice
Commitment to pastoral care, collaboration and continuous professional development
