ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School Murcia is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified Science Teacher to join our dynamic and successful Science Department from January 2026.

The successful candidate will be able to teach Biology and Chemistry to A Level, inspiring students through engaging, challenging and practical science lessons. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, committed to high academic standards and able to motivate students of different ages and abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Biology and Chemistry up to and including A Level.
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated lessons.
Inspire students to develop a genuine interest in Science and encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress effectively.
Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum and department.
Make effective use of practical experiments and enquiry-based learning.
Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Holds a relevant degree in Biology, Chemistry, Science or a related subject.
Has an appropriate teaching qualification and relevant classroom experience.
Is confident teaching both Biology and Chemistry through to A Level.
Has high expectations of students and is committed to achieving excellent educational outcomes.
Can create an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Is enthusiastic, flexible and committed to professional development.
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and international school community.

Previous experience teaching within the British curriculum and/or A Level would be highly desirable.
