ROLE SUMMARY:
The International School of Monza is a well-established IB World School offering a high-quality international education from Early Years through to the Diploma Programme. The school is known for its welcoming community, modern learning environments, and commitment to inquiry-based, student-centred learning.
To ensure continuity of learning and smooth day-to-day operations, we are creating an evergreen pool of Substitute Teachers who can support the school with short-term and occasional cover needs. Successful candidates will be reliable, flexible, and available at short notice. This is an excellent opportunity for educators living locally who wish to gain experience, or doesn’t want the full commitment, in an international school setting while contributing meaningfully to the student experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects and age groups, following plans provided by the class teacher.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and transitions as required.
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour expectations.
- Communicate professionally with staff and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.
- Adapt quickly to different classes, routines, and teaching styles.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Full right to work in Italy.
- Residence within a commutable distance to the International School of Monza.
- Availability to work with a 2-week notice period or shorter, where possible.
- A recognised teaching qualification or relevant experience working with children in educational settings.
- A flexible, positive approach and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
- Experience in IB schools is helpful but not essential.
