ROLE SUMMARY:

St. George’s International School is seeking to appoint a Graduate Assistant for its Boarding Department. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure the safety, well-being, and positive daily experience of students from over 60 different nationalities. The role also involves upholding and promoting the school’s core values and positive ethos at all times. We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with children and teenagers, and who is committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and inspiring young people in a nurturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of students in the boarding house.

  • Supporting the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the boarding house.

  • Assisting with the planning and supervision of extra-curricular activities.

  • Actively participating in the weekend activity programme.

  • Providing support to students during study periods.

  • Assisting with airport transfers at key points during the term.

  • Performing any other reasonable duties as requested by the school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Strong ability to engage with and appreciate a multicultural environment.

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or residential setting.

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office tools.

  • Educated to degree level.

  • Holder of a valid driving licence and the appropriate right to work in Switzerland.

  • Caring, organised, and adaptable with a proactive and energetic approach.

  • Resilient, resourceful, and able to remain calm under pressure.

  • A true team player with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.

  • Fluent English speaker (C2 level).

  • Self-disciplined, open-minded, and eager to contribute to a positive and supportive boarding community.
