ROLE SUMMARY:

St George's International School is seeking to appoint a Graduate Assistant for its Boarding department who will work as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of the students from about 60 different nationalities in the house whilst maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school at all times. We are looking for an educationally qualified person who is passionate about children/teenagers and committed to striving for excellence, continuous improvement, inspiring and enthusing students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In general, Graduate Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Working as part of a team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students in the house,
  • Supporting the team to ensure the smooth running of the boarding house,
  • Assisting with extra-curricular activities,
  • Playing an active role in the weekend activity programme,
  • Supporting students during study time,
  • Helping with airport transfers at key times of the term,
  • Assisting with any other duties that the school might reasonably ask.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Skills and previous experience

  • Ability to understand and enjoy multi culturalism
  • Experience of working with young people
  • IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office

 

Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Educated to degree level
  • Appropriate right to work in Switzerland
  • Driving license
