ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Patrick’s College, founded in 1981, is a bilingual educational institution that seeks the comprehensive development of its students through personalized learning processes, within an environment of trust, respect, and high academic standards.
The School offers all levels, from Early Years to Pre-University, across two educational campuses. As an IB School, it promotes the development of critical thinking, inquiry, international-mindedness, and progressive autonomy in its students.
Its educational approach is holistic, fostering academic, artistic, and athletic growth, as well as a commitment to addressing the challenges of society. The teaching staff is stable, well-trained, and dedicated, striving for continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the library, guiding and assisting students and teachers in the use of its resources.
- Organize, classify, catalog, and keep bibliographic materials and library resources up to date.
- Support students in searching for, selecting, and responsibly using information, promoting reliable sources, proper citations, references, and academic integrity.
- Manage loans, returns, reservations, inventory, and circulation of materials, as well as electronic devices (Chromebooks).
- Make photocopies and manage the reproduction and distribution of academic materials requested by teachers.
- Participate in school initiatives, events, projects, and activities when required.
- Maintain the library as an organized, accessible, welcoming space suitable for study, reading, research, and collaborative work.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in educational libraries or documentation centers.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Canva, and library management systems.
- Experience in cataloging, classification, and inventory of bibliographic materials.
- Maintain a professional attitude characterized by punctuality, professional appearance, responsibility, respect, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Availability Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
