ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Louis School Archinto is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Psychology Teacher to join the Secondary School from August 2026.
The successful candidate will teach IB Diploma Programme Psychology, delivering engaging and inquiry-based lessons that develop students’ analytical thinking, research skills and understanding of human behaviour. The role requires strong subject knowledge and familiarity with IB assessment and internal assessment requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Psychology within the IB Diploma Programme
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with IB philosophy and assessment criteria
- Prepare students effectively for Internal Assessments and IB external examinations
- Support students in developing research, analytical and evaluation skills
- Monitor student progress and provide clear and constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
- Maintain high standards of academic integrity and classroom practice
- Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
- A degree in Psychology or a closely related field
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Psychology at upper secondary level
- Strong understanding of IB Diploma assessment requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Desirable
- Experience teaching IB DP Psychology
- Experience in an international school environment
- Experience supervising IB Internal Assessments
- Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
