ROLE SUMMARY:

Inspired Education Group is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teacher to join St. Louis School Colonna on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will teach Science to students within a dynamic Middle School environment. This role suits an engaging and reflective practitioner who is passionate about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking and scientific enquiry within an international school setting. The Middle School environment follows the UK National Curriculum, with a strong focus on project-based learning, digital literacy and the development of essential “Skills for Life”.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Science across the Middle School (Years 7–9), delivering engaging, well-structured and age-appropriate lessons
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse, international student cohort
Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress, provide feedback and inform future planning
Contribute to the school’s positive behaviour and pastoral systems in line with school values
Collaborate closely with colleagues within the Science department and across the wider Middle School
Participate in school trips, projects and enrichment activities that enhance student learning
Engage actively in professional development and whole-school improvement initiatives
Support extra-curricular activities where appropriate

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Essential

A Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related subject
A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching Science at Middle School / Lower Secondary level
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
A collaborative and professional approach to working within a team
The right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)

Desirable

Experience in an international or bilingual school setting
Confidence delivering practical Science and project-based learning
Ability to contribute to cross-curricular initiatives or teach an additional subject
