ROLE SUMMARY:
We invite applications for the role of Librarian Admin Assistant, a dynamic position integral to our school's academic and administrative vitality. The role requires a highly organized, enthusiastic, and approachable individual who will foster a culture of reading and scholarship, while efficiently managing the library's resources. In addition to curating and promoting library materials, the role encompasses vital administrative duties such as monitoring student attendance and coordinating examination logistics. This full-time role is a unique opportunity to influence the educational journey of our students and support our academic community through innovative library programming and meticulous administrative support.
The role is full-time, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with roughly two to three hours each day devoted to administrative responsibilities and the remaining time focused on librarian duties and engaging with our students.
The librarian must also be available to students during key times:
• 30 minutes before the school day starts at 8:30am
• 30 minutes each morning break (10:45-11:15)
• Students lunch break: 1:00–2:00 p.m. daily
• 30 minutes at the end of the school day (3:30-4:00)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Library & Student Support
Manage daily library operations and collections, supporting students and staff in accessing resources. Guide senior students in research and study skills, promote reading and collaboration, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment.
Administration
Maintain attendance records, coordinate examinations, and ensure compliance with procedures. Provide general administrative support and act as a liaison for staff, students, and external partners.
Skills & Attributes
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and discreet, with strong communication skills. Proficient in library systems and Microsoft Office. Proactive, approachable, and adaptable, committed to promoting literacy and maintaining the library as a vibrant learning hub.
