ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Education Group is seeking a caring, creative and experienced Teacher to join the Early Years team at St. Louis School, Colonna Campus. The successful candidate will provide a warm, nurturing environment that supports the early development of 2/3-year-old children, encouraging curiosity, communication and independence through play-based learning. This role requires an educator who is passionate about early childhood development, skilled in building strong relationships with both children and families, and committed to contributing positively to the wider school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity and early language development.
- Provide a safe, caring and responsive environment that supports each child’s physical, emotional and social well-being.
- Work within the Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, adapting teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Monitor children’s progress through regular observation and documentation to inform planning and communicate effectively with families.
- Work closely with colleagues and teaching assistants to ensure consistency and quality in early years provision.
- Establish strong, positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
- Engage in ongoing training and reflective practice to maintain the highest standards of early childhood education.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant qualification in early years teaching and care.
- Proven experience working with children aged 2–3 years, ideally in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
- Understanding of early childhood developmental milestones and play-based pedagogy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A passion for fostering independence, creativity, and confidence in very young learners.
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia or similar child-led, inquiry-based educational approaches is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Qualified Early Years Teacher or equivalent recognised certification.
- Must hold an EU passport or have a valid visa to work in Italy.
- Fluent English speaker; Italian language skills are an advantage.
