ROLE SUMMARY:
The CAPEX PM & Facility Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of capital expenditure and facility management activities across a group of schools. The role ensures that infrastructure projects and maintenance operations are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in line with group standards, governance requirements, and budget objectives, while safeguarding safe, functional, and high-quality learning environments.
SALARY RANGE: €45,000 - €50,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage CAPEX projects across multiple school sites, ensuring delivery to scope, budget, timeline and quality standards.
- Act as the key liaison between school leadership, corporate functions and external partners to coordinate infrastructure projects effectively.
- Translate school requirements into structured CAPEX plans aligned with group priorities and standards.
- Oversee facility management operations, ensuring safe, efficient and well-maintained school environments.
- Monitor project performance, costs, risks and compliance with governance and internal control requirements.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality delivery and contractual compliance.
- Support long-term infrastructure planning, asset management and maintenance strategies.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, cost optimisation and preventative maintenance practices.
- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and consistency of best practice across the school network.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear reporting to support effective decision-making.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
- Proven experience in CAPEX project management and facility management in dynamic and complex environments (education, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar) - at least 6 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building systems, EHS and maintenance operations.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets, and multi-stakeholder projects.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English + Italian
