ROLE SUMMARY:

 

 King’s College, world-renowned for academic excellence and student leadership, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious professional to the position of Summer Camp Residential Director to join our teaching team on a temporary basis. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

General duties:

  • Respect the guidelines set down by King’s College S.L. (Staff Handbook).
  • Be prepared to follow a flexible working timetable.
  • Attend the Director's Meetings in Madrid.
  • Be part of the staff selection process, conduct interviews.

 

Afternoon Activities duties:

  • Student grouping with monitors at the start of course.
  • Monitor and participation in activities, making changes where necessary, trying to balance the groups for age, level and sex, etc., as much as possible.
  • Offer help and advice to monitors on both an academic and personal level, assisting with the preparation of activities: providing ideas and support when they are needed.

 

Core competencies and skills: 

  • Plan, prioritise and organise tasks and activities.
  • Demonstrate Creativity & encourage innovation.
  • Organizational and Budget Management skills.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

Language

 

English: Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) (Required)

Spanish: Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) (Required)

 

Experience

 

3+ years experience in residential life for similar programs

5+ years of professional experience in recreation, camp, outdoor education, youth programming, or related field.

Experience supervising staff and providing dynamic leadership to teams.

Previous experience working with high school students as camp counselor, tutor, or other capacity
