ROLE SUMMARY:
Established in 2012, King's College School, Panama, was the first British curriculum school in the country. We are proud that our students are pioneers of British education in the region, and even prouder of the exemplary education we continue to offer our growing learning community. As a diverse and inclusive international school, we educate 350 students from 37 nationalities, aged 2 to 18, who attend the Pre-Nursery division to Sixth Form.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible and creative practitioner with excellent subject knowledge and effective interpersonal skills, committed to building strong working relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with International Curriculum and local requirements.
- To plan, feedback and teach in line with school and departmental procedures.
- To plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with school policies.
- To maintain a working knowledge of International Curriculum & other documents.
- To maintain records of pupils’ progress including all statutory documents.
- To produce reports and grades for pupils as per the school calendar.
- To conduct termly interviews with parents to discuss and explain their child’s performance and progress in school.
- To provide and maintain an attractive and stimulating environment in which to foster effective teaching and learning.
- To monitor progress and the effectiveness of class work and to evaluate and modify planning and teaching as necessary.
- To differentiate accordingly according to the students’ needs
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A dynamic and pro-active teacher, preferably with independent sector or international experience
- Strong team player willing to support other colleagues
- Excellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and recent developments
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Pastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantage
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
