ROLE SUMMARY:

The Wingate School (TWS) is an Inspired Education Group school located in Mexico City and an accredited Cambridge International School and IB World School that offers an educational programme focused on academic excellence, creativity, and human formation.

TWS teaches the International Early Years Curriculum in Kinder, the International Primary Curriculum, and the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum. The school is a member of the Latin American Heads Conference, was awarded the Foundation Level of the British Council’s International School Award, and was recently named “One of the 10 best international schools in Latin America” by The Knowledge Review.

 

As part of our commitment to whole-child education, Wingate offers a robust Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme designed to enrich students’ experiences beyond the classroom. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and student-focused ECA Coordinator to oversee and continuously enhance this programme.

The ECA Coordinator is responsible for designing, scheduling, and managing all after-school activities across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary. The role ensures that students have access to engaging, safe, and high-quality extracurricular options that support their talents, interests, and personal development. The position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and external providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a varied and age-appropriate ECA offering each term, aligned with Wingate’s educational philosophy.
  • Coordinate planning cycles, including activity selection, scheduling, and space allocation.
  • Oversee daily ECA logistics, ensuring activities run smoothly and safely.
  • Manage registrations, attendance, cancellations, waiting lists, and parent communications.
  • Coordinate internal and external providers, ensuring all documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements are up to date.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for parents, students, teachers, and vendors.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with families in both English and Spanish.
  • Monitor programme quality through feedback from students, parents, and staff, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, safety policies, and operational procedures.
  • Support or lead ECA-related events such as performances, tournaments, exhibitions, and end-of-term showcases.
  • Maintain clear records, communication materials, schedules, and administrative systems related to ECAs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in programme coordination, extracurricular management, school operations, or event planning.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with external vendors or activity providers.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families, staff, and providers.
  • A genuine passion for student enrichment and holistic development.
  • Experience in a school environment is highly desirable.
  • Availaibility to work on-site in Huixquilucan from Monday to Thursday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm
