Math Department Head (AY 2026-2027)

AIS seeks an experienced Mathematics educator to lead the Secondary Math Department while delivering high-quality instruction across designated grade levels. This dual-scope role requires strong subject expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning. All teachers at AIS are expected to effectively develop and deliver the curriculum in line with the Inspired Education Group’s expectations and meet Inspired teaching standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use a range of instructional techniques and media consistent with available resources and student needs.
• Develop, deliver, and assess Mathematics in the lower secondary, Cambridge IGCSE, and IB Diploma Programme.
• Provide a positive learning environment for each student and inspire students to expand their understanding and enjoyment of the subject.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student to be socially and academically successful.
• Organise and lead extra-curricular activities and student engagement in Mathematics.
• Use a variety of assessment methods to ensure student knowledge and understanding are appropriately recorded.
• Ensure the required standards of classroom management and student behaviour are met.
• Desirable: Supervise Extended Essay students for the IB Diploma and/or Community Service projects as required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and teaching certification in Mathematics; Master’s preferred.
• Valid teaching qualification and minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Must be eligible to work within Vietnam
• Demonstrated capability in curriculum leadership or team management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in international school settings is an advantage.
