ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College School, La Moraleja, is part of the Inspired Group, a global network of leading schools. We provide an outstanding education for students from Pre Pre Nursery to Year 11, delivering the British National Curriculum along with Spanish curriculum elements. King’s College School, La Moraleja, is seeking an experienced, dynamic and committed Deputy Head to join our leadership team, starting on 1st September 2025.

This senior role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of one of the leading British schools in Spain. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership and management at a senior level in the UK or internationally, with experience in implementing and leading educational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Heads of Primary, Secondary, and the Director of Studies, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the school’s self-evaluation processes and quality assurance framework.
  • Lead and coordinate staff recruitment, allocation of resources, and professional development, with a focus on enhancing student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Ensure effective implementation of school procedures for the collection, analysis, and communication of student progress and attainment.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to maintain operational, academic, and pastoral excellence across both sites (Primary and Secondary).
  • Support the Head Teacher in shaping the school’s strategic direction and policies, translating these into effective practice across all areas of the school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (essential) and Qualified Teacher Status (essential).
  • Proven leadership experience in excellent schools, ideally within the British National Curriculum, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Strong knowledge of IGCSE and the British National Curriculum, including KS5.
  • Experience in line managing senior staff and supporting them in their leadership roles.
  • Expertise in recruitment, retention, and HR processes within a school context.
  • Ability to contribute to staff development and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish (desirable).
