ROLE SUMMARY:

 

El Colegio Británico in Madrid is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will teach Science within the British curriculum and contribute positively to a collaborative and international school environment.

Role Description

  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE level)

  • Potential to teach a specialist science subject depending on experience

  • Full-time position within a well-established British school

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons in line with the British curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent)

  • Degree in Science or a related subject

  • Experience teaching Secondary Science within the British curriculum

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Legal right to work in Spain (or willingness to obtain it)

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
