ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School Soto de Viñuelas is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Temporary Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team to cover a long-term period of absence. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of mathematics and support all pupils in reaching their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (Years 7–13), including IGCSE and A Level.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with departmental and school policies.

Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental resources.

Support and guide students in preparing for external examinations.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Uphold the school’s values and contribute to the wider pastoral life of the Secondary School
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level, ideally within a British or international school.

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students across all abilities.

Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.

A collaborative approach and a commitment to professional growth.

A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
