ROLE SUMMARY:

King's College School Soto de Viñuelas is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to support our Early Years and Primary teams. Working under the guidance of the Head of Early Years, you will help deliver high-quality learning experiences, support pupil achievement, and promote independence. This role involves assisting teachers in classroom management, pupil engagement, and contributing to whole-school development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support pupils and staff in delivering the curriculum effectively, including those with additional learning needs.
Assist in planning, assessment, and monitoring of pupil progress.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Support inclusive learning by encouraging participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Help maintain a stimulating, safe, and organised learning environment.
Communicate sensitively with pupils to tailor support to their needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to share knowledge and inform decision-making.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
Experience or interest in Early Years or Primary education.
Understanding of how to support pupils with diverse needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs).
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining the school’s ethos and safeguarding policies.
Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting both pupils and staff.
