ROLE SUMMARY:

The British Council School, part of Inspired Education Group, is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our committed and forward-thinking team in Madrid.

We are looking for a teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds and a strong track record of delivering high-quality science education within the British curriculum. The successful candidate will be committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and the development of a lifelong love of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary school, with the ability to teach at IGCSE and A Level (or equivalent).
Foster curiosity, creativity and critical thinking in the classroom.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency of teaching, learning and assessment practices.
Support the school’s ethos of internationalism, innovation and academic ambition.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Degree in a science-related subject.
Proven experience teaching Science within the British curriculum.
Experience in delivering IGCSE is essential; A Level/IB experience is highly desirable.
Excellent subject knowledge, communication skills, and classroom management.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a genuine passion for education.
