ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School La Moraleja is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Art to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and IGCSE. The role includes the opportunity for additional responsibility as Head of Creative Arts, leading Art, Drama and Music across the Secondary School and contributing to whole-school academic excellence in the creative disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Art across KS3 and IGCSE, ensuring strong student progress and attainment
- Plan and deliver a stimulating, rigorous and inclusive curriculum
- Contribute to the development of the Creative Arts provision and enrichment activities
- Collaborate with colleagues across Art, Music and Drama
- (For Head of Creative Arts) Lead curriculum, staff development, and quality assurance across the department
- Support whole-school priorities including safeguarding, assessment and student wellbeing
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Art within the British curriculum (minimum 2 years desirable)
- A passion for creative education and the ability to inspire students
- Strong classroom practice and commitment to academic excellence
- Leadership experience or potential (for Head of Creative Arts pathway)
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
