ROLE SUMMARY:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate nurse to take on the role of nurse in our Summer Camps in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care and support to campers and staff during their stay at the camp. The Nurse will work closely with the camp's leadership team to ensure that the health and safety of campers and staff are maintained throughout the camp season. This position requires strong clinical and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff.

 

Compensation:
•    400€  per week.
•    Room and board will be provided 
•    Expected to work a few duties throughout the week.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff as needed, including dispensing medications and administering treatments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all campers and staff, including medication logs, health histories, and incident reports.
  • Develop and implement health and safety protocols for the camp, in consultation with the Camp Director and other members of the camp's leadership team.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments of campers and staff upon arrival at the camp.
  • Work with the camp's food service staff to address dietary needs and restrictions for campers and staff.
  • Educate campers and staff on health and wellness topics, such as sun safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Manage the camp's inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and ensure that all supplies are properly stored and secured.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians of campers regarding their child's health and well-being as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the camp staff to ensure that the camp is a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state where the camp is located.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pediatric or camp nursing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with relevant medical equipment and supplies, including EpiPens, inhalers, and glucometers.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff and camper populations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.
