ROLE SUMMARY:

 

A highly prestigious British international school in Madrid is seeking to appoint an outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its academic team on a full-time, permanent basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and appropriately differentiated Mathematics lessons across the Secondary age range.
  • Deliver the relevant British/international Mathematics curriculum to a high standard, ensuring strong progression in students’ knowledge and skills.
  • Set high expectations for academic achievement, behaviour, effort and personal development.
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress, using assessment data effectively to inform planning and teaching.
  • Provide appropriate challenge and support to meet the needs of students of different abilities and learning profiles.
  • Prepare students effectively for relevant internal and external examinations and assessments.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Experience teaching British and/or other recognised international curricula is highly desirable.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • High expectations of student attainment, behaviour and personal development.
  • Experience of effective assessment, curriculum planning and differentiation.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and to maintaining the highest professional standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
