ROLE SUMMARY:

A highly prestigious British international school in Madrid is seeking to appoint an outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its academic team on a full-time, permanent basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and appropriately differentiated Mathematics lessons across the Secondary age range.
Deliver the relevant British/international Mathematics curriculum to a high standard, ensuring strong progression in students’ knowledge and skills.
Set high expectations for academic achievement, behaviour, effort and personal development.
Monitor, assess and track student progress, using assessment data effectively to inform planning and teaching.
Provide appropriate challenge and support to meet the needs of students of different abilities and learning profiles.
Prepare students effectively for relevant internal and external examinations and assessments.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.
A relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
Experience teaching British and/or other recognised international curricula is highly desirable.
Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
High expectations of student attainment, behaviour and personal development.
Experience of effective assessment, curriculum planning and differentiation.
A commitment to safeguarding and to maintaining the highest professional standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
