ROLE SUMMARY:
The British School Madrid is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3–KS5, including A Level Mathematics, within a high-achieving British curriculum environment.
We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire confidence and excellence in Mathematics and support students in achieving outstanding academic outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Mathematics across Secondary (KS3–KS5), including A Level
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the British curriculum
- Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations with strong academic outcomes
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively
- Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and needs
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Support students’ academic progress and overall wellbeing
- Participate in school life, enrichment activities, and pastoral duties as required
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience teaching the British curriculum (KS3–KS5 essential)
- Proven ability to teach A Level Mathematics (essential)
- High expectations for student achievement and behaviour
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
- International school experience (desirable but not essential
