ROLE SUMMARY:

The British School Madrid is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3–KS5, including A Level Mathematics, within a high-achieving British curriculum environment.

We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire confidence and excellence in Mathematics and support students in achieving outstanding academic outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Mathematics across Secondary (KS3–KS5), including A Level
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the British curriculum
Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations with strong academic outcomes
Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively
Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and needs
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support students’ academic progress and overall wellbeing
Participate in school life, enrichment activities, and pastoral duties as required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Experience teaching the British curriculum (KS3–KS5 essential)
Proven ability to teach A Level Mathematics (essential)
High expectations for student achievement and behaviour
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A collaborative, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
International school experience (desirable but not essential
