ROLE SUMMARY:

 

Kensington School in Madrid is seeking to appoint an organised, proactive and professional School Secretary for an immediate start.

 

The School Secretary is a key member of the administration team and plays an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operational running of the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong administrative and communication skills who enjoys working in a busy international school environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Finance administration (billing, accounts support, parent queries)
  • Trips and activities coordination (logistics, administration, organisation)
  • School communications (weekly bulletin, newsletters, parent communications)
  • HR administrative support (onboarding, documentation, compliance records)
  • Office administration (daily operations, filing, administrative systems)
  • Calendar and scheduling support (meetings, coordination, operational planning)
  • Reception cover when required (front desk support, visitor assistance)
  • Data management (maintaining records and administrative databases)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Previous administrative experience (school environment desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills (ability to prioritise multiple tasks)
  • Excellent communication skills (professional English and Spanish)
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and digital systems)
  • Attention to detail (accuracy and confidentiality)
  • A proactive and flexible approach (team player mindset)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (working effectively with staff and parents)
