ROLE SUMMARY:
Mirabal International School, located in northwest Madrid and part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking to appoint a native English-speaking Primary Teacher with expertise or strong experience in Art, to join its teaching team from September 2025.
Mirabal is a well-established international school with a reputation for academic excellence and holistic education. The ideal candidate will combine a passion for teaching with creativity, energy, and the ability to inspire young learners through visual arts. Experience in international or British schools is highly valued, as well as the ability to teach using English as the medium of instruction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Primary classes in English, integrating Art as a key element of interdisciplinary learning.

Design and deliver engaging and age-appropriate art projects across different year groups.

Foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic appreciation in all pupils.

Take an active role in school exhibitions, cultural events, and artistic celebrations.

Collaborate with the wider teaching team in joint planning and cross-curricular initiatives.

Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Contribute to the development of the school’s Art curriculum and active learning strategies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Native-level English
-
A degree in Primary Education and/or Fine Arts or Art & Design.

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, MEd, or equivalent).

Previous teaching experience in Primary education, ideally in an international setting.

The ability to motivate, inspire and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.

Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching through the arts.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with parents and colleagues.

A proactive, flexible attitude and commitment to educational innovation.
