ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas, part of the renowned King’s Group, has been delivering excellence in British education since 1969. Located in the beautiful surroundings of northern Madrid, our flagship school serves students from Nursery to Year 13 and offers a dynamic, international learning environment.

We are seeking a passionate and qualified PE Teacher to join our thriving Physical Education department. The successful candidate will teach across Primary and Secondary levels, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach engaging PE lessons across both Primary and Secondary phases, following the UK National Curriculum.

  • Assess and report on student progress, maintaining clear records.

  • Support student wellbeing, behaviour, and safety across all activities.

  • Organise and contribute to school sports events, inter-house competitions, and extracurricular activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives.

  • Participate in parent meetings, staff training, and whole-school events.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in PE (or related field) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years' experience teaching PE, ideally across both Primary and Secondary levels.

  • Experience teaching GCSE PE is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and international school settings.

  • A collaborative, proactive teaching style and a passion for student wellbeing and sport.

  • Willingness to engage in extracurricular programmes and whole-school life.

  • (Desirable) Experience in department coordination or leadership roles.
