ROLE SUMMARY:

 

Kensington School, Madrid, a prestigious British international school with over 50 years of excellence, is seeking a dynamic and forward-looking Teacher of Mathematics. You will join a growing, inspirational team delivering IGCSE and IB curricula, helping students achieve their full potential while enjoying the cosmopolitan lifestyle of Madrid.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Mathematics across KS3-5, including IGCSE and IB.

  • Plan, prepare, and develop high-quality resources and schemes of work.

  • Monitor and support student progress, assessing and providing feedback to drive attainment.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies and curriculum planning.

  • Serve as a form tutor, supporting students’ pastoral needs and personal development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure high-quality outcomes.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.

  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally including IGCSE and IB.

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, IGCSE, and IB requirements.

  • Excellent classroom management and ability to motivate students.

  • Ability to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment.

  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and commitment to pastoral care.

  • ICT proficiency and willingness to embrace new technologies in learning.
