ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas, the flagship British international school of the King’s Group, was founded in 1969 and is recognised for its academic excellence and inclusive ethos. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our successful Secondary School from August 2026. The successful candidate will teach across the Secondary age range (11–18) and contribute to both the British and IB Diploma programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons following the UK National Curriculum and IB frameworks.

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3–5, including IGCSE and IB Diploma (Standard and Higher Level).

  • Assess, record and report on student progress in line with school and curriculum expectations.

  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and departmental initiatives.

  • Support the academic and pastoral welfare of students.

  • Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at IGCSE level and IB Diploma (or A-level).

  • A strong understanding of British and international curricula.

  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.

  • A collaborative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

  • A commitment to fostering students’ curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
