ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Kings School Chamartín. Working under the guidance of the Learning Support Leader, you will support the delivery of high-quality teaching, help raise student achievement, and encourage pupils to become independent learners. You will provide targeted support to enable all pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in both academic and social activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support teachers in managing pupils and classroom activities.
- Deliver targeted learning support programmes, including ESL sessions for KS1 pupils.
- Help pupils develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Encourage pupil participation and independence in learning.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and learning support staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience in supporting children’s learning, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping children achieve their potential.
- Basic knowledge of ESL teaching principles is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
