ROLE SUMMARY:

A leading international school in Madrid is seeking a Head of Economics & Business / Business Management Teacher to join its academic team on a full-time basis for the 2026/27 school year.

This is a confidential senior teaching position within a high-performing IB environment, combining classroom teaching with academic leadership responsibilities in the Economics and Business department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach IB Business Management (DP) and/or Economics (as applicable)
Lead and coordinate the Economics & Business department
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across the team
Support curriculum planning and development within the IB framework
Monitor student progress and drive academic achievement at top levels
Contribute to the school’s strategic academic development
Mentor and support teaching staff within the department

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Teaching qualification (e.g. Máster de Formación del Profesorado or equivalent)
Strong experience teaching IB Business Management and/or IB Economics
Proven leadership or coordination experience in an academic setting
High level of English (native or near-native proficiency)
Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to lead a high-performing academic team
