ROLE SUMMARY:

San Patricio Toledo is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Boarding to lead our boarding house community, starting in August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the student experience, ensuring their well-being, and contributing to the school’s admissions efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Management: Oversee the daily operations of the boarding house, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all students.
Student Well-Being & Safeguarding: Act as a legal guardian when required, maintaining high standards of pastoral care and duty of care for boarding students.
Staff Supervision: Line manage the boarding house team, including educators, security staff, and the boarding house nurse.
Behaviour & Conduct: Maintain high standards of student behaviour within the boarding house in collaboration with the Head of School.
Family & Student Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for boarding students and their families, ensuring effective communication and support.
Admissions & Outreach: Work closely with the Head of School to support the boarding admissions process, host webinars, open days, and campus visits, and represent the school at external events.
Logistics & Student Transitions: Supervise the arrival and return of students to and from the boarding house.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Proven experience in international boarding schools.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of boarding staff and educators.
Willingness to live on-site as part of the school’s boarding community.
Ability to teach at the secondary level.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, or a strong working knowledge of Spanish.
