ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College Soto de Viñuelas, part of Inspired Education Group, is seeking a passionate and highly qualified English & Literature Teacher to join our Secondary School team for the 2026/27 academic year.

We are looking for an inspiring educator to teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5, with the potential to contribute to A Level and IBDP programmes. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, high-performing department committed to academic excellence and holistic student development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach English Language and Literature across Secondary (KS3–KS5)
  • Deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the British curriculum
  • Contribute to A Level and/or IB Diploma Programme delivery (if applicable)
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress to maximise achievement
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and enrichment activities
  • Support students’ academic and personal development, including pastoral care

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Experience teaching British curriculum (KS3–KS5 essential)
  • Experience or willingness to teach A Level and/or IBDP
  • Excellent classroom practice and high expectations for student achievement
  • A passion for inspiring a love of English and literature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • International school experience (desirable but not essential)
