ROLE SUMMARY:

 

We are seeking a caring and reliable Early Years Care Assistant to support the wellbeing, safety, and inclusion of children in Early Years and Year 1. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role supports children’s daily routines, personal care, play, and transitions, helping them feel safe, secure, and ready to learn in a high-quality English-speaking environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and supervision of children throughout the school day (class, playtimes, dining, rest/siesta, transitions, and collection).

  • Support children with personal care, including toileting and changing, following hygiene, dignity, and safeguarding protocols.

  • Promote positive routines, healthy eating habits, and positive behaviour through consistent, child-centred approaches.

  • Prepare and organise resources and maintain safe, tidy learning and play environments.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, leadership, families, and support staff, reporting incidents or concerns promptly.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Have experience working with young children in an educational, care, or similar setting.

  • Hold a relevant qualification or training in childcare, education, social care, or a related field (or be willing to undertake training).

  • Demonstrate a warm, calm, and respectful approach with a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Be able to follow routines, protocols, and safeguarding procedures accurately.

  • Have effective teamwork and communication skills.

  • Have at least C1 level Spanish and B2 level English (both with spoken component).
